New bin and service innovations from SULO
SULO has launched a number of new bins and smarter service solutions as part of its ongoing commitment to product development and customer service.
The new bins include a larger 360L mobile garbage bin (MGB), a 60L Retro bin and a really tough 4 wheel Steelybin.
The new larger 360L SULO bin is an important size option for local councils looking to proactively increase their domestic recycling capacity while at the same time reducing landfill costs and complying with national waste reduction targets. It is not only ideal for kerbside collection of recyclables, but also at events and parks, and for organics in leafy suburbs.
According to John Kernahan, Director of Sales at SULO MGB Australia Pty Ltd, "the new larger 360L SULO bin is now in use or on trial with over 40 councils / contractors across Australia. The City of Melville in Perth, for example, recently completed a trial of the larger 360L bin. An analysis showed that 30% more recyclable material was placed in the larger 360L bins and 18% less waste went to landfill. Based on this outstanding result the cost of providing the larger capacity bins to those households requiring it would be more than offset by the savings in landfill costs in the first year".
The new 360L SULO bin, which is manufactured in Australia, was designed in consultation with Australia's leading suppliers of side loading compactors to ensure it was compatible with existing side lift equipment used by local contractors and councils. The 360L SULO bin utilises the footprint of the 240L bin so that its dimensions from the base up to and including the lift zone are very similar allowing existing grab arms on side lifters to handle the bin in the same way as any 240L bin.
The 60L Retro bin is the smallest Australian made MGB available in the market today. It was launched at the recent AWR Expo in Sydney and proved to be a smash hit with delegates who received colourful samples at the SULO stand. Its compact size and extendable handle make it suitable for an amazing number of applications, including: food waste collection, multi-unit dwellings, limited space, commercial kitchens, office blocks, hospitality, battery disposal, glass collection, clinical waste, and general storage. A number of Expo delegates also thought it would make an ideal portable esky or tool caddy.
The Steelybin is literally as tough as steel and has been developed in consultation with contractors, local councils and waste management companies to provide the ultimate solution for heavy duty commercial waste and recycling needs. Its highly durable design and exceptionally strong galvanised steel construction make it ideal for waste collection in public areas prone to high levels of vandalism. The 4 wheel Steelybin is available in a 660L and 1100L capacity and is fully compliant with the EN840 international standard. It can be configured with a variety of lid, lock, security, data collection, and graphic options to suit your specific application.
In addition to the manufacture and supply of the most comprehensive range of quality bins in Australia, SULO has introduced an innovative service concept called "Whole of Life" which also covers fleet planning, assembly and distribution, fleet maintenance, and recycling. Through "Whole of Life" SULO works in partnership with its customers to develop customised, cost effective solutions for any or all aspects of their bin fleet management regardless of size and complexity.
The results achieved by SULO's customers speak for themselves and include optimised bin fleet composition and lifespan, simplified operations and administration, reduced risks and costs, improved service levels, and enhanced environmental outcomes contributing to "best practice".
